Digital Printing

With digital photography, we are taking more pictures than ever. Now it's time to turn them into prints. That's what digital printing is all about. Prints are printed using the latest in laser technology to interchange your images from digital format to standard photographic paper. This method produces prints that are far greater in quality than any consumer inkjet printer can compare to.

Prints are one of the best ways to view images. There is just something different about holding and looking at the photos you shot, than viewing them from a computer.

We can print from many digital storage devices including, but not limited to:

Our Difference
When we print, we normally correct color, density and contrast from all your digital media as appropriate. No automation. That's our difference. If you are using our ICC profiles or would like your images to be printed as is, then please make sure you let us know.

Papers

We can print your photos on Glossy, Lustre and Metallic papers. The default and most common paper used is Glossy. If you would like to use a different paper, let us know.

What Files We Can Print From
We can print fom JPEG, TIFF and PSD files. If you have something different such as PDFs, please be sure you convert them to files like TIFFs. All files must be in 8bit. If your images are set in 16bit, please be sure you convert to 8bit. Converting down will not reduce print quality.

Note: If you are using our Epson Pro for printing, the file support is greater and 16bit files are allowed.

File Preparation
Please be sure to organize all files you want printed in one place. Please do not give us your storage device and have us look for the ones you would like printed. It might help to place them in folders with folder names representing the print sizes/paper you would like.

Use Our Order Form
If you have files that need to be printed in different sizes and quantites, please download the order form below. This is common for wedding photos. You can send us your completed order form though FTP, mail it or bring it in with your files. If the order form does not have enough rows for all the images you want printed, download the form however many times you need it.

Download Order Form in PDF format
Note: This cannot be directly filled out from your computer. If you would like to do that, download our order form in .doc fomat right below.
Open in a PDF reader like Adobe Reader. Print and fill it out.

Download Order Form in .doc format
Note: This must be opened in Microsoft Office to be viewed correctly.
Fill it out on your computer from Office and save it or print it and fill it out.

sRGB Color Space
We work in the sRGB color space with our custom profiles. It's a good idea to set all images in the sRGB color space if they aren't already.

Note: If using our Epson Pro, you have the option to have your files printed in the Adobe RGB color space. This must be requested.

ICC Profiles
We have custom profiles for our Noritsu and Epson Pro printers that are available for download. Using these profiles are a great way to soft proof your images before they get printed so they turn out the way you intended them to. Profiles available here.

RAW Shooters
If you shoot RAW, edit all your images in your RAW program and export them out as JPEGs or TIFFs. Our printers do not open RAW files. If you want, we can convert your RAW files, but an additional charge will apply.

Image Blow Up
It doesn't matter what image editing program you use. If you know, englarging digital files can reduce quality drastically and produce artifacts. If you have digital files that need to be enlarged, we have special blow up software that allows us to do this with minimal quality loss.

Aspect Ratios
Aspect ratios of digital cameras are not always proportional to standard print sizes. Therefore some prints might either have white borders or may crop into the image. This is normal. To ensure the prints turn out the way you want, you can crop the images in Photoshop to the exact print size you are looking for.
